Dagenham dig deep to see off StevenageManagerless Dagenham ended a four-match losing streak in League Two with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium.Ashley Chambers shocked the home side on 18 minutes when he headed Dagenham in front and moments later captain Joss Labadie broke free to double the lead with a powerful drive. The hosts pulled a goal back through defender Fraser Franks, who got on the end of a Callum McFadzean cross from the right as Stevenage seemed to be back in the game. But Dagenham, who sacked boss Wayne Burnett just before Christmas, restored their two-goal lead in the 37th minute when Chambers got to the byline and pulled the ball back for Christian Doidge to score from six yards.McFadzean went close in a second half dominated by the home side with a back-post header that went just past the upright and Jamille Matt put a free header just over the crossbar.Mark Cousins then made a fantastic reaction save in injury time as Dagenham dug deep to secure only their second win in 18 league matches
