Stevenage Borough struck twice late on to win 2-0 at Barnet.

The home side had the opening chances when Junior Agogo had a shot saved by Mark Westhead, who was returning to the side after a long lay-off.

At the other end Dino Maamria had a looping header from 20 yards that hit the top of the crossbar.

Stevenage started to push forward and Simon Wormull was unmarked on the left-hand side and his left-foot cross shot was blocked by keeper Danny Naisbitt.

Danny Carroll had a header saved and he and Maamria got in each other's way from a Simon Travis cross and the ball ran out for a goal-kick.

In the closing moments of the first half Anthony Elding had a brilliant opportunity to open the scoring from five yards, but Naisbitt made a great save.

On the stroke of half time Maamria headed the ball into the Bees goal but was flagged offside.

In the second half Bees captain Greg Heald tried a right-foot shot from 15 yards that went over the bar and three crosses from the left wing from Frazer Toms, Lee Flynn and Agogo were unable to be converted into a goal.

Towards the end of the game Stevenage brought on Jamie Cook who operated on the left and caused Barnet some problems.

Carroll broke through and in a one-on-one situation with keeper Naisbitt was disappointed not to have scored.

Moments later Maamria broke the deadlock, when he headed the ball into the top corner from Cook's left-wing cross.

Three minutes later it was Cook again who crossed for Maamria to strike from five yards to seal victory for Boro.
