He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "I've come here to enjoy my football and to see what happens in January, whether it's extended or I go back to Watford.
"I'm just looking to get a run of games together. It's something I haven't really had."
Walker joined the Hornets on a free transfer from Middlesbrough in the summer, after featuring just 13 times at the Riverside.
But first team opportunities have been equally limited at Vicarage Road, Walker having made just four substitute appearances before being shipped out to Stevenage in a loan deal that expires on 5 January.

"If I'm being honest, I expected to do more than I have done at Watford," he said. "I still believe I should have played a lot more than I have so far.
"I just want to come here, express myself and enjoy my football.
"I've been here for a couple of days and it feels like I've been here a full season.
"The lads are top class, the banter they have, the camaraderie, it's just brilliant."
Newcastle-born Walker would have to extend his stay at Broadhall Way if he is to play a part in Stevenage's FA Cup third round tie against his home town club on 8 January.
