Stevenage could welcome back duo

James Dunne and Peter Hartley could be added to the Stevenage squad for the visit of Gillingham.

Midfielder Dunne has not started a game in two months due to a groin injury while a knock has kept defender Hartley out over Christmas, but both are pushing to return .

Boss Graham Westley could make further changes after the 4-1 defeat by Bristol City on Sunday, although that performance was actually an improvement on the 4-0 Boxing Day drubbing at Colchester.

Striker Darius Charles is the only definite injury absentee as he continues to recover from ankle ligament damage.

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor will assess a host of players ahead of the trip.

Danny Kedwell was only expected to play a cameo role in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Walsall as he waits to undergo a hernia operation later this week but ended up playing the entire 90 minutes.

Fellow striker Adebayo Akinfenwa was unable to start a third game in succession due to a lack of match fitness and had to make do with a place on the bench while Chris Whelpdale was feeling discomfort in his ankle following his return to action at the weekend.

They will be checked over along with midfielders Amine Linganzi (hamstring) and Danny Hollands (knee), who have missed out altogether of late. However, Myles Weston definitely remains sidelined with his hamstring injury.
