Stevenage V Coventry at The Lamex Stadium - Match Preview

Boro to check on Charles

Stevenage will again assess Darius Charles ahead of the visit of Coventry.

The defender-turned-striker is edging closer to fitness after a month out with an ankle injury but did not make last weekend's 4-1 defeat by MK Dons.

Winger Lucas Akins is back in training after two months out following ankle surgery but defender Ben Chorley remains sidelined by a groin problem.

Forward Don Cowan came on as a substitute at stadium:mk after rejoining Boro from Southend and could make his second full debut for the club.

Coventry boss Steven Pressley is waiting on the fitness of midfielder Carl Baker and forward Billy Daniels.

Skipper Baker is still struggling with the calf strain that kept him out of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Brentford, while Daniels continues to be hampered by a hip complaint.

Striker Leon Clarke sustained a knock on his knee against the Bees but should be passed fit for Saturday.

Adam Barton started at the weekend, only to be hauled off at half-time for Mathieu Manset, who may be promoted from the bench at Broadhall Way.
