Burton will be without midfielders John McGrath and Russell Penn, who are both serving one-match bans after picking up five yellow cards each this term.
Aaron Webster is a doubt with a calf injury and Ryan Austin and Adam Legzdins both have a stomach bug.
Burton Albion manager Paul Peschisolido told BBC Radio Derby: "They're in the position we were last season. They've started off alright, they're organised and not conceding a lot of goals.
"The manager there [Graham Westley] really does work on his organisation and creativity at set-pieces. As everyone will see, he's got some pretty unique set-pieces.
"It's going to be a difficult match because they're fighting for their lives. They're in the league, they want to stay in the league - that's where we were last season."
