Boro stun in-form Robins

Lucas Akins and Filipe Morais struck as struggling Stevenage picked up their first League One win since November with a 2-0 victory against Swindon.

Akins opened the scoring for Boro when he fired past Wes Foderingham after 37 minutes before Francois Zoko was felled by Grant Hall in the box 10 minutes after half-time.

Morais fired home the resulting penalty to earn the hosts a vital victory.

Alex Pritchard impressed for the visitors and he almost gave his side the lead in the 31st minute, only for his deflected 20-yard effort to loop over goalkeeper Chris Day and come back off the crossbar.

Pritchard was soon involved for the wrong reasons when his misplaced pass was picked up by Akins and he fired low past Foderingham from 20 yards for the opener.

The second followed shortly after the break with Morais slotting home his eighth of the season from the spot after Zoko was dragged back by Hall.

Ivorian striker Zoko's powerful shot flew narrowly wide late on as Boro remain bottom of the table, a point adrift of Bristol City.
