He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "We did a professional job today and we will do a professional job in every game we play."

But Wallace was quick to add: "It's all about the league now."

The Hertfordshire club currently sit two points ahead of neighbours Luton at the top of the Blue Square Premier, having played two games fewer.

"We have got the league in our own hands. If we could do a double, that would be fantastic," said Wallace.

"We are not top of the league by fluke, we are top of the league on merit, and we will continue that approach right the way through the club.

Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace

"We are really focused on doing the best we can to try and win the league. We'd love to win it on merit and go up as champions. That is our ambition."

A win against Barrow will see Stevenage match the records of Woking, Scarborough and Telford, who have all won the FA Trophy three times.

Wallace said: "Wembley is all about players. It's the pinnacle of some players careers to play there and we have got half a dozen that didn't play there last time and they will be particularly keen to play there."
