Stevenage have parted company with Andy Ford after less than a year. Boro's assistant manager who was appointed towards the end of last year to help Boro reach the playoffs, has left after just 7 months, after deciding to persue a managers job. It now leaves Boro in yet another posistion looking for a right hand man for Graham Westley. Both Pearce and Benstead had previously held the post but retired from football in the past two seasons.

Fords departure will be a big blow to Boro. Graham Westley rated Ford high and many fans were expecting him to take over from Graham Westley last season. Not only that Boro's backroom team will once again be changing, already Boro have lost Pearce, Benstead and Jimmy Dack in the last few years and it is certain another new face will be arriving shortly.
