Stevenage welcome back on-loan striker Chris Holroyd, who was unavailable to face MK Dons in the FA Cup because of the terms of his loan deal.
Defender Ronnie Henry (illness) and striker Chris Beardsley (shoulder) both hope to be fit enough to play.
Stevenage manager Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio: "It's a long old haul, it's a difficult trip, they're a club we know well from our Conference days.
"It's never an easy place to go and win points.
"After a very hard night's work [in the FA Cup replay with MK Dons on Tuesday], the lads are going to have recover exceptionally well to make sure we're in shape."
